Captain Julie Baxter arrives on his new ship, the U.S.S. Sisyphus, where he's pleased to meet his new crew. But his first inspection turns troubling when Chief Engineer Fritz Fassbinder warns of bad luck for any ship whose Captain ignores the maritime tradition of defecating on the deck of the ship before it leaves spacedock. Soon repairs are behind schedule and the ship seems doomed before it even completes its shakedown. When the ship's self-aware Computer detects feces somewhere aboard the ship, search parties and cleaning crews jump into action. But finding a deuce in Starboards, the ships bar, is only the beginning of a mystery, as more poop starts popping up all over he ship. It turns out everyone on the senior staff pooped on the ship for some reason or another, some for their love of tradition, some to free their crewmates minds from their anal fixations, some because they couldn't find the bathrooms, and some just to jump on the bandwagon. That pooping episode behind them, Capt. Baxter proclaims how excited he is for the crews journey together to have begun.
Presumably they leave spacedock at some point after that.
