The USS Sisyphus is en route to Greavton, a planet that the Federation has deemed sufficiently advanced for First Contact with other species. Captain Baxter is initially unenthusiastic about the mission until he learns that Greavtonian society is extremely sexually permissive. He blows off the remainder of his mission briefings and takes command of the away mission, returning with an explicit account of his sexual exploits(complete with photos) in place of the expected report on the planets' reaction to first contact. The ship is ready to call the mission a success and depart until Baxter's alien lover, Lalalala, arrives on the ship and announces she's expecting a child. Baxter turns to the male members of the senior staff for help on dealing with the situation, and it turns out that both Lalalala and the captain are pregnant, each embedded with an egg containing half of a child in their backside(a foible of Greavtonian reproduction he would have learned had he listened to LtCmdr Watson's briefing in full). When he tries to talk his way out of the situation Lalalala instead seduces him into some back-on-back action that results in their child erupting forth, hideous and almost fully grown. Lalalala announces that she and Baxter are now married and she will be moving in along with the gruesome looking child, who is already walking and talking. Meanwhile, the officers have made some discoveries about the planet's sexual culture: Firstly, Lalalala is underage by her people's standards, and secondly, due to the short time it takes to raise a child Greavtonian marriages last only until the participants find a new mate. Baxter schemes to arrange a liaison between Lalalala and another, more disposable crewman and settles on Ensign Durango, a loudmouth jerk who has been recently annoying the officers at the ship's bar. Durango is tricked into a meeting with Lalalala in the Captain's quarters, and is luckily(and creepily) aroused by the site of her nursing her child from behind. As he and Lalalala embrace, Captain Baxter has them transported to the planet's surface and orders the ship to depart to its next mission.
